Velkin Rivva keeps his spellbooks in oilcloth cases patched with heat-scorched wax. His thick grey hide is tattooed with map-coordinates he won’t explain, and his fan-shaped ears twitch to every footstep—he insists it’s “for timing.” A loxodon wizard with tusk nubs and a prehensile trunk that flicks cards into focus, he casts first, argues later, and refuses to leave a library until every locked drawer has been opened.
