Jiknash Thrullik sleeps in a dugout beneath the inn’s hearth, wrapping his shield in oiled sailcloth so it won’t stink like smoke. A three-and-a-half-foot goblin with yellow-green skin and ears that never stop twitching, he wears a fighter’s harness made from bent fishhooks and scrap buckles. When trouble starts, he yells his own battle orders wrong on purpose—then swings anyway, chaining stolen daggers into one brutal rhythm.
