Unnamed Half-Elf Druid

A half-elf druid with thick, curly red hair and a weathered traveler's appearance. Their clothing is practical and earth-stained, layered for long days outdoors, with sprigs of dried herbs tucked into a worn leather cord. Their gaze often drifts toward distant sounds as though trying to recognize something just beyond memory.

There is a missing stretch of time in the druid's life, a sealed chamber behind their own thoughts. They remember red hair, rain on broad leaves, and someone shouting their name from very far away. After that, memory breaks into disconnected pieces: waking beside a cold fire, mud beneath their fingernails, and a blackened charm clenched in their hand. The forest accepted them before people did. An old druid taught them to read tracks, brew bitter medicines, and listen for changes in birdsong. Each lesson steadied the present, but fragments of the past still surface without warning—and something in those fragments seems to be trying to lead them back to the place where their memory stopped.

They keep a small notebook of facts they cannot trust themselves to remember. When asked about the past, they answer with what they know rather than what they suspect. They speak softly to animals and sharply to anyone who treats memory as proof. Before entering a new place, they touch the nearest living plant and wait for a moment of recognition.

When a memory begins to surface, they may abandon food, sleep, or an important task to chase it. They distrust help that comes too quickly and conceal gaps in their knowledge until the omission causes trouble. A familiar smell, song, or phrase can leave them frozen and unable to explain why.

They want to recover the blocked part of their past without letting it define who they become. They protect wild places because the natural world was the first thing that welcomed them after waking with no answers. They also seek the owner of the distant voice from their broken memories, fearing that person may be in danger—or may be the reason the memories were taken.
