Vharluun the Night-Archivist penned this work after surviving the Hourglass Concord, when every other account of the treaty burned to ash. According to a surviving note sealed into his estate, he hid the last clause inside a living script “that will only answer one mind” and bound it to a spindle stolen from a fallen celestial surveyor. The scroll was later displayed beneath glass in the Hall of Unwritten Oaths, where guards swore the runes “shift to face the visitor” until an intended heir took it.
