A longsword with a broad, leaf-shaped fuller along the blade, its metal cold as river stone and etched with faint star-motes that catch the light. The grip is wrapped in dark morocco, and three faceted celestine gems sit in the cross-guard’s crown like frozen raindrops, each veined with pale blue. When drawn, a thin ribbon of mist trails the edge and crawls toward the pommel, as if the sword is exhaling.

Vesper Marn, a field paladin who served as siege-witch to the High Crown, forged the blade after surviving an arc-lightning collapse inside the Astral Bastion. She bound her vow into the celestines while the heavens flickered—later refusing to tell her companions whether she had been rescued or merely chosen. The sword was last seen at the besieged gate of Kethryn, where it remained warm in the hands of the one who refused to retreat.

The blade shines with restrained, shifting radiance, and the mist that follows it makes its cutting line easier to read in fog, dusk, and smoke. When you swear intent before striking, the edge steadies—its movement seems to align with your purpose, discouraging feints and last-second evasions.
