Ryzzan Varkhal

Ryzzan Varkhal

Tiefling, Ranger, Neutral

Description

Ryzzan Varkhal stands just over six feet, lean but wiry, with the trademark Infernal Tiefling traits: deep red skin subtly veined with black, swept-back ebony horns curling from his forehead, and a tail that flicks silently. His eyes glow a muted amber, piercing through the gloom. He wears his long black hair loosely tied in a half ponytail, strands falling around his face. A thick, unkempt black beard frames his jaw, giving him a rugged presence. The Cloak of Elvenkind he wears is a patchwork of forest greens and shadowy browns, worn and faded where it brushes his shoulders, muffling his steps and blurring his outline in dim light.

Backstory

Born to a lineage touched by infernal pacts, Ryzzan grew up in a remote borderland where town met untamed forest. He learned early how to read the land and silently hunt game, skills passed down by his father. A turning point came when a band of ruthless mercenaries razed his home village, killing many, including his family. Since then, Ryzzan has lived between shadows and wilds, driven by a quiet desire to prevent others from suffering the same fate.

Personality

Ryzzan speaks rarely, choosing words as carefully as he tracks footsteps. He listens more than he tells, his amber eyes always scanning. When he does speak, his voice is low and steady, revealing a wry subtle humor beneath his reserved exterior. He taps his ringed finger against his cloak when deep in thought, a small habit that sharpens his focus.

Flaws

Ryzzan's infernal blood makes him wary of trusting others, sometimes to the point of isolation. He prefers to act alone and struggles to ask for help, even when he needs it. His haunting past causes occasional bouts of brooding silence that can rattle allies unprepared for his mood swings.

Motivations

Ryzzan hunts not only to survive but to protect those caught in the crossfires of war and greed. His ultimate goal is to carve out a safe space where people and nature coexist, free from merciless exploitation. Each shadow he slips through and every arrow loosed is a step toward that fragile hope.
