The Sovereign Rings of Talvek: The Iron Hammer & The Silver Shield
This is a paired set of signet rings forged from dark star-iron, each inset with one half of a split, glowing sky-blue sapphire. Lord Emeron wears The Iron Hammer (signifying the right to rule and pass judgment), while Lady Sylvasa wears The Silver Shield (signifying her vow to defend the realm and execute the house's military will).
Rarity: Legendary (Requires Attunement by a true heir of House Talvek)

These rings were forged by the Lord Talvek from a special supply of Dark Star-Iron left over from a Talvek incursion deep into the mountain caves many years ago, and a sky blue sapphire split in half. One for himself and one for his younger sister, so that they could be stronger during combat. These rings were made both as symbols of the Talvek siblings nobility and of their combined power and the bond they share. Neither sibling takes off the ring unless absolutely necessary, as a sign of their devotion to each other and because they have grown fond of being able to sense and communicate with each other telepathically...

The Twinning Bond

While both rings are attuned by the siblings, they can communicate telepathically with each other across any distance on the same plane of existence. Furthermore, each one knows the direction, distance, and health status (current hit points) of the other.

Sylvasa's Features (The Silver Shield)

As the martial arm of the family, Sylvasa's ring allows her to protect her brother and channel his authority into pure battlefield momentum:

• Vanguard's Shield: When Lord Emeron is attacked or forced to make a saving throw, Sylvasa can use her reaction to project a shimmering barrier of sorcerous force around him. Emeron gains a +5 bonus to his AC or saving throw until the start of his next turn. She can use this feature even if they are up to 60 feet apart.

• Echo of Command: Once per turn, when Sylvasa takes the Attack action or casts a spell, she can spend 2 Sorcery Points to grant Emeron an immediate reaction. Emeron can use this reaction to either move up to his speed without provoking opportunity attacks, or make one weapon attack.

Emeron's Features (The Iron Hammer)

While Sylvasa is in the thick of combat, Emeron’s ring allows him to feed her raw arcane energy and direct her blade with absolute authority:

• Sovereign's Tax: Whenever Emeron casts a spell that damages an enemy, the ring marks that target. Until the end of Emeron's next turn, the first time Sylvasa hits that marked target with a weapon attack, she deals an extra 2d6 Force damage and heals for the same amount as her bloodline reclaims the spent magic.

• Font of Authority: As a bonus action, Emeron can willingly sacrifice his own spell slots to fuel Sylvasa's martial prowess. He can expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher to instantly grant Sylvasa a number of Sorcery Points equal to the level of the slot expended, bypassing her normal maximum limit for 1 minute.
