Vial of Luminous Restoration

Vial of Luminous Restoration

Potion, Rare

Description

A thumb-sized glass vial of pale, thick crystal, its interior liquid swirling like slow firefly light. The stopper is cork sealed under a thin disk of stamped silver, warm to the touch as if recently handled. A faint inner glow pools near the bottom, while soft condensation beads along the sides.

Lore

The vial was commissioned for Sister Halvra of the Quiet Chapel, who insisted that healing should look nothing like mercy and everything like workmanship. It was first uncorked during a night of bridgework, when an engineer fell and bled out while the city’s bells were still ringing. Halvra’s hands did not shake; the light in the vial did, and then steadied after it was poured into a waiting cup.

Properties

When swallowed, the potion brings a gentle, outward warmth that steadies breath and eases the ache of weariness. The lingering glow fades as the body rights itself, leaving only a cool clarity behind. The vial’s light flares briefly with the drinker’s need, then settles into a calm, glassy shimmer once the restoration takes hold.
