Whisperfang
Weapon, Rare, Requires Attunement
Description
An example item to show what dndplaybook can do — remix it, rewrite it, or delete it and build your own.
Whisperfang is a long dagger of grey-green metal that never catches the light. The blade is etched with a spiral of script too fine to read, and it makes no sound at all — not drawn, not striking, not even dropped on stone. In the hand it feels slightly colder than the room, like the far side of a pillow.
It makes no sound. That is how you know it is telling the truth.
— warden proverb
Lore
The wardens of the Thornwood carried nine such blades, forged — the stories say — from the tooth of something the forest kept asleep. Eight burned with the heartwood groves. The ninth rides at the hip of @Kaelen Thornwood, who took it from his captain's body and has carried it toward @The Marrowmaw ever since.
The blade grows cold in the creature's presence — which makes it the finest compass in the world for exactly one destination.
