Character

Unnamed Wood Elf Ranger

Wood Elf, Ranger, Neutral

Description

A male wood elf with black, shoulder-length hair, a sun-kissed complexion, and a serious face. He wears dark studded leather beneath a short autumn-colored cape and carries a wood elf longbow. His bearing is that of a hardened elven bowman, alert to every movement beyond the road.

Backstory

He grew up in the wilds, far from towns, roads, and the comforts of civilization. The terrain became his first language: he remembers the layout of places after a single passage and can find food and fresh water for himself and five companions wherever the land provides berries, small game, or clean water. He belongs to the Emerald Enclave, protecting the balance between nature and civilization. Once, he ran twenty-five miles without stopping to warn his clan of an approaching orc horde. He would do it again. Now he is the last of his tribe, and he carries their names into the world so they will enter legend.

Personality

He studies a trail, ridgeline, or settlement once and remembers its shape. When danger threatens, he moves before others have finished arguing; warnings matter more to him than permission. He speaks in short sentences and marks the passing seasons by changes in birdsong, leaf color, and the taste of spring water.

Flaws

He leaves no room for caution in a life lived to the fullest. A dangerous path, a failing bridge, or an overwhelming enemy can make him move faster rather than stop and reconsider. He often expects companions to trust the land as readily as he does.

Motivations

He believes life follows the seasons: always changing, never asking permission, and demanding that those who survive change with it. He protects the balance between wilderness and civilization through the Emerald Enclave, while preserving the memory of his lost tribe until their names become legend.
