Character

Unnamed Tiefling Warlock

Tiefling, Warlock, Neutral

Description

A fiendishly stunning tiefling with pink skin marked by purple accents and slicked-back, messy black hair. He wears studded leather armor beneath tailored attire designed to command attention, carries a wand, and projects a fiendishly charismatic aura crowned by an easy, dangerous smile.

Backstory

Your path to power was not always clear. You spent years in seclusion, weighing whether to continue your efforts or abandon them and default on your debt. That hermitage gave you access to a unique and powerful discovery whose details remain known only to you and your DM. If the discovery comes to light, it could bring ruin to the world.

You are a member of the Zhentarim, an unscrupulous organization that pursues economic and political control through legitimate ventures and darker means. The faction values what you know, but it also gives you enemies who would gladly turn your discovery into a weapon.

Personality

You connect every event—an overheard phrase, a failed spell, a stranger's arrival—to a grand cosmic plan. You keep your voice measured when others grow heated, and you treat emotional arguments as evidence that the speaker has lost control of the facts. In conversation, you flash an effortless smile and ask questions that make people reveal more than they intended.

Flaws

You would risk too much to uncover a lost piece of knowledge. A sealed vault, a forbidden name, or a fragment of an old text can draw you past sensible limits, even when the danger threatens your allies or the world.

Motivations

You seek the truth behind your hermitage discovery while deciding whether your pact and its debt are worth the cost. You intend to keep the discovery from those who would use it to ruin the world, even as the Zhentarim presses you to turn every secret into leverage.

Ideal

Emotions must not cloud your sense of what is right and true, or interfere with clear logical thinking.

Bond

Should your discovery come to light, it could bring ruin to the world.
