Unnamed Silver Dragonborn
Dragonborn, Sorcerer, Lawful Neutral
Description
A silver-scaled dragonborn sorcerer dressed in practical traveller’s clothes, carrying a quarterstaff and a bearskull drum. His gear is worn for long roads and rough country rather than display. The drum’s pale skull frame hangs at his side, marked with clan knots and weather stains; his staff bears the scratches of wilderness trails. Cold breath gathers around his muzzle when his magic stirs, and his silver scales catch the hard light of snowfields and open sky.
Backstory
He grew up in the wilds as a fiercely proud member of a noble clan, where the clan’s judgment outweighed the stated law of any distant ruler. He learned to read terrain by ridge, river, and treeline, to remember every trail he crossed, and to find enough berries, small game, and clean water to feed himself and five others when the land allowed it.
Once, an approaching threat gave him no time to summon help by ordinary means. He ran twenty-five miles to warn his clan, arriving before the danger reached their homes. He would make the same run again without hesitation. The event fixed his place among the clan’s protectors, but it also sent him farther onto the roads as a wanderer and defender of wild country.
He now serves the Emerald Enclave, carrying its cause through remote settlements and untamed passes. His quarterstaff marks the ground, his bearskull drum carries warnings across distance, and his sorcery answers threats with the cold fury of a winter storm. His clan remains the center of his life, even when many miles lie between them.
Personality
He memorizes every route he travels and can sketch the surrounding terrain from memory after seeing it once. When danger threatens his clan or companions, he moves before anyone finishes explaining the risk; he once ran twenty-five miles to deliver a warning and considers that response ordinary. Around a campfire, he taps slow rhythms on his bearskull drum while studying the horizon. He treats promises made before witnesses as binding, especially promises made in the clan’s name.
Flaws
He believes nature has already judged the weak, and he is quick to let hardship decide who deserves help. He places clan loyalty above written law, local custom, and sometimes the safety of strangers. An insult to his honor becomes an insult to everyone who shares his blood, making compromise feel like betrayal.
Motivations
He protects his clan’s honor and keeps its name free of dishonor. He serves the Emerald Enclave to defend wild lands from those who strip them bare, while gathering knowledge of distant terrain that could help his people survive. Every journey is also a promise: if danger comes for his clan, he will find a way home and arrive before it is too late.
