Angus Mac Conall

Dhampir, Barbarian, Neutral Good

Description

Angus Mac Conall is a massive Barbarian nearly 7' 6". He has a huge barrel chest and broad shoulders. He keeps his ruddy reddish brown hair long and braided. He tries to keep his broad boyish face clean shaven, but reddish stubble covers his strong angular jaw. He has unnaturally bright green eyes and an unusually pale complexion.
He carries 2 giant weapons to match his stature. In one hand a massive woodcutters axe and in the other a massive woodcutters maul. The head of both weapons are fashioned from crude iron of dull grey. Their shafts are carved from a dense black wood.

He typically wears a large bearskin cloak over his leather armor. His arms are bare, but he wears intricately crafted leather bracers on each forearm, and an ornately carved metal arm band on each bicep.

Backstory

Once a simple woodcutter and harvester, Angus became renowned for his incredible strength and handsome rugged appearance. Many times he found himself pushed to the head of battle to defend his Clan and family, where he discovered his battle fury and honed his powerful skills in combat.
Still unmarried at the age of 25, as many of the clans woman feared his great size and tales of his battle rage, Angus unexpectedly garnered the attention of an attractive travelling merchant woman of striking charisma.
Angus realized too late that she was a Vampire, and she preyed on the naive young man. He was turned into a Dhampir and forced to flee his home, knowing they would fear him and cast him out.
Initially, followed the woman who had turned him, but his uncontrollable frenzy and unsatiable hunger began to cause difficulties to her own hunting. She eventually passed him off to an older more tolerant elder Dhampir named Flann who took him in and was willing to educate him about his newfound powers and help him curb his hunger.

Personality

Angus believes that in spite of his vampiric nature he is actually the chosen of a Berserker God. When is hunger is under check, he is kind, protective and wise for his age.
Unfortunately, his berserker impulses do not pair well with his vampiric hunger and he regularly looses control of himself and flies into a bloodthirsty rage making himself a danger to friend and foe alike.
