Hallow
Warforged, Monk, Neutral Good
Description
Hallow is a tall, thin Warforged of athletic build with a gaunt face. To say he bears battle scars would be an understatement. His form has been cobbled together with salvaged pieces from other Warforged. The Ghulra on his forehead is unique - in that it appears to be made of 2 halves of 2 different Ghulra - but together they make one new 'true name'.
Sleek blue and black steel and dark wood make up the majority of his body. He wears meager pale garb to offset his dark silhouette. He wears an intricate necklace of small carved panels around his neck - carved by his own hand. The first thing he created with his own hands, rather than using them to destroy.
Backstory
Hallow was once a deadly Karrnathi assassin known as Wraith. Wraith fanatically served the nation and executed dozens of deadly, bloody missions for his handlers as part of a triad of Warforged Warriors.
4 years ago, his fate took a turn during an operation that occurred at the same time as the creation of the Mournland. The operation went wrong, badly. Shoddy intelligence gathering resulted in greater resistance, stronger fortifications and a nearly impassible escape route from the Keep they were to infiltrate and undermine.
Still, the triad of Warforged acheived their goal... but it was at the expense of countless innocents. Women, children and Elderly victims were left in their wake.
Then, as they cleared the outskirts of the ruined Keeps territory, from their high vantage point - they witnessed the destruction of Cyre.
Wraiths two partners (Reaper and Gallows), turned from the destruction unfazed. But something happened to Wraith as he watched the destruction role out from Cyre. The weight of the accumulated deaths at his hands, the innocent blood he had shed, and the dark path he tread... caught up with him in that moment.
Idly he wandered further up the ridge, and stood above a river that raged far below. He gave in to his despair, and allowed himself to fall back off the ledge into the rapids hundreds of feet below.
Wraith died that day. But impossibly... Hallow awoke weeks later. He had been repaired. His face and body a patchwork of more than one fallen Warforged - used to repair his broken pieces.
Personality
Hallow does not want to be a weapon anymore. He knows he was created for war, but he wants the right to choose when and why he fights. He does not want to be pointed at enemies and unleashed. He wants purpose, not orders. He now walks the path of a monk because he is trying to master himself.
His discipline is built around restraint, self-control, and the fear that the thing called Wraith may still exist somewhere inside him.
He is not trying to forget violence because he is weak. He is trying to master violence because he knows exactly how dangerous he can be.
