Each blade is cut from a single slab of smoky violet crystal, with edges honed to a glass-fine line. Veins of pale blue stone run through the weapons like frozen lightning, catching torchlight and throwing it across nearby walls. Their translucent bodies reveal bubbles, hairline color shifts, and the occasional dark fleck suspended deep within the gem. The hilts are wrapped in black sharkskin and capped with dull silver pommels, giving the blades a firm, practical grip despite their strange material.

Gemblades make a clean, ringing note whenever they touch stone or steel. They hold no edge scars, show no chips, and remain cold long after being drawn from a fire. In the hand, they feel heavier than their size suggests, lending every strike a deliberate finality. A bearer tends to attract stares: these are weapons that look too valuable to carry and too dangerous to leave sheathed.
