Draxar

Draxar

Dragonborn, Paladin, Lawful Good

Description

Draxar moves like a bell being struck—each step lands with a clean, deliberate thud, as if the ground itself must keep time with him. His dragonborn hide is a burnished red-gold, scaled in thick plates that catch torchlight and throw it back in sharp, ember-bright flashes. Thick, angular brow ridges frame his eyes; the pupils narrow to slits when he judges a foe, then widen with patient steadiness when he speaks to allies.

His armor is a sculpted shrine of war. Over the scale-like plating of his body sits polished half-plate shaped to dragon proportions: pauldron plates flare like shielded wings, with riveted bands that form stylized claw marks along the shoulders. His breastplate bears a raised emblem of a hammer locked inside a crown—hammer head at the center, crown points fanning out to the edges—heat-tempered to a muted gold that looks almost molten but never runs. Strapwork of dark leather crosses his torso in crisp X patterns, each seam reinforced with small metal crescents that click softly as he turns.

A massive greatsword rests across his back like a promise made solid. The blade is not plain steel; it has a faint, repeating pattern of veins—like frozen lightning trapped in metal—running from the hilt to the tip. When he draws it, the air answers with a low metallic hum, and the fuller flares with a pale, spell-bright glow as the weapon clears its sheath. The grip is wrapped in blackened cord, and the pommel is capped with a dragonbone crest etched with tiny runes of binding and oath.

Around Draxar, his aura doesn’t merely glow—it enforces. Thin lines of light crawl along the ground outward from his boots, like white-hot etchings forming a geometry of protection. The air takes on a faint scent of clean rain on hot stone. When he raises his hand to bless, a halo of luminous sigils—circled numbers and oath-script—spins once in midair, then snaps into place around his allies’ shoulders as if fitting invisible armor.

His holy symbol is welded to his shield arm: a round, warded disk with a central scale-shaped gem. When he braces to defend, the gem flares, and a translucent ward-lattice spreads across his shield—crisscross lines that catch and redirect blows like a disciplined wall of wind. Against the right angle of light, the lattice briefly resembles interlocking dragon claws reaching out to hold the world steady.

Even his breath looks like an oath. He exhales and a controlled ribbon of warm mist rolls from his nostrils, swirling into a brief, orderly spiral before dissipating—never wild, never wasteful, always purposeful. When he calls his courage aloud, the sound comes out like hammered metal gaining a hymn’s rhythm: steady, law-shaped, undeniable.

Draxar stands out because he looks like he’s built to keep promises that other heroes can only make and hope to survive. His armor is a sanctified weapon. His aura is a boundary you can feel. And when he moves, it’s not just power—it’s discipline made visible, righteous and radiant in the most terrifyingly noble way.
