Xandor Flayzen

Half-Elf, Sorcerer, Neutral

Xandor Flayzen never chose magic.

Magic chose him.

He was born beneath the shattered peak known as Thunder's Crown, on the night a celestial storm split the heavens. Witnesses claimed the lightning did not strike the ground—it struck the child himself. Instead of killing him, the lightning danced harmlessly across his skin before vanishing into his heart. From that day on, strange things happened wherever Xandor went. Candles ignited when he laughed, rain followed his grief, and bursts of arcane energy erupted whenever his emotions overwhelmed him.

His parents, simple merchants, feared the power growing within their son. Rumors spread that he had been blessed by the gods, while others whispered he was cursed by an ancient spirit. Unable to control the surges of magic, Xandor accidentally burned down part of his family home at the age of twelve. Though no one was hurt, guilt drove him to leave before he could bring further harm to those he loved.

For years, Xandor wandered the world alone, learning that his power came not from study or discipline, but from the blood flowing through his veins. An elderly hermit eventually recognized the signs: Xandor carried the bloodline of the Storm Titans, beings who had once shaped mountains and commanded the skies during the First Age. Their descendants were thought to have vanished centuries ago.

The hermit taught him one lesson that changed his life:

"A sorcerer's greatest enemy is not their magic—it is their fear of it."

With time, Xandor learned to embrace the storm within him instead of resisting it. Every battle sharpened his instincts. Every emotional trial strengthened his control. He discovered that when protecting others, his lightning became precise and brilliant, but when consumed by anger or despair, the skies themselves seemed to answer his fury.

Despite his growing mastery, Xandor remains haunted by recurring dreams of an endless tempest surrounding a colossal figure calling him by name. Whether it is an ancestor, a forgotten titan, or something far older, he cannot tell. The dreams grow stronger with every passing year, as though something is awakening—and expecting its heir to answer.

Now Xandor travels as an adventurer, searching for the truth behind his bloodline while using his extraordinary gifts to defend those who cannot defend themselves. He knows one day he will have to confront the source of the storm inside him. Until then, every bolt of lightning he casts is both a weapon and a reminder that destiny is never truly escaped.

  • Calm, compassionate, and quietly confident.
